I did something this weekend I have been putting off for a while...I finally donated my hair to Locks of Love. My hair has been my security blanket for many years and after a bad haircut in the 3rd grade, I have had long hair ever since. When I say bad haircut, I mean BAD! It caused our older sister Ama-blah to call us her little brothers, which still makes me tear up to this day. Ama-blah, what a dumb bitch! LOL SOOOO, with all the things we have going on for the Relay for Life walk we are doing, I decided to do a little something extra to help out kids with cancer. I cut 11 inches off my hair. I made sure I popped a xanax and chugged a beer before I went to the salon to get my hair cut. Is it strange I needed a designated driver to go and get a hair cut? Some would say I have a drinking problem, that's why I don't talk to "some" people. Always judging! Also, when I was in the salon, they offered me a beer to help calm my nerves...I will definitely be going back there again! :o)

Your new hair cut is adorable! It really suits you. I'm jealous. I look awful with short hair. I had my bad haircut experience when I was 19. I cut it to my chin (I've always had long hair too) and my parents' elderly neighbor kept mistaking me for the little Indian boy from The Jungle Book! Gah! I haven't cut it since.
I barely have any hair because I usually have it very short (the hair), so not much to donate.

I love the new haircut but I feel your pain and anxiety over hair cuts. As somebody with curly hair I always get nervous of short cuts and looking like Annie. That being said I finally caved and went short (a little above my shoulder) a couple years ago and never went back to my usual length (around where yours was pre-cut) but I'm growing it out not for my sisters wedding and I'm starting to think I'll never have the balls to go short again! haha. You look fantastic, sweets!
I've donated my hair to Locks of Love twice. I was lucky enough both times to have the cut turn out really nice. And salons that serve booze are the best!!
good for you..I feel your pain..I cut 11 1/2 inches off my hair after I split with my exhusband. I pretty much started to tear up. I am thankful I did it but wish it would grow back faster.
